I KNOW your struggles are REAL and you almost want to give up, if you haven’t, but I come bearing great news so I hope you open your heart to receive it.

You are up against a lot, and sadly, when we make any of these mistakes on the journey, it even gets worse. Which is why we must fight these 5 mistakes


Ready, Set, FIGHT!!!



1. Making WEIGHT LOSS the goal

At Jesus Girls’ Nation, we recently pivoted away from weight loss to wholeness. We no longer have any WEIGHT LOSS program because making weight loss the goal is putting the cart before the horse, and we will never make sustainable progress and get to our destination.

Now, our goal is wholeness and healthy living, and like one of my team members said at one of our strategic sessions, if you come to lose weight, you will just be wasting your time.

I already shared in this post about WHY we pivoted, especially because conventional weight loss coaching was no longer working per SUSTAINABLE RESULTS.

So instead of making weight loss the GOAL, think of the PROCESSES and HABITS you need to incorporate into your every day life, for example,

Working out 5 days a week
Keeping a food diary
Reading up on healthy foods daily
Take the weekends to shop and prep my meals for the week
Stop buying X junk

Once we have those processes on lock down, even if JUST ONE per time, trust me, you will see beautiful wins and the weight loss you are chasing will be chasing you.

2. Hiring a Baby sitter not a Coach

Real coaching is not about baby sitting you, showing up every day to ask you what you ate and didn’t eat.

That sort of coaching wont work for approximately 80 to 90% of us.

I know you THINK you need a Coach like so, and even I have made MAJOR MISTAKES coaching like that, where I am all up in the Client’s face daily, hoping somehow my presence will create change.

5 Coaching Mistakes I Have Made



Hmmm.

The danger with this is I cannot be with you forever, so when the Coaching session is over, because you haven’t learned to stand alone, you fall yakata.

So while you need a Coach, make sure it is not a baby sitter.

Find one who coaches in a YOU-CENTRIC way and sets up/AUTOMATES systems that can help you win even with minimal check-ins.

Any coach you need to see daily is a baby sitter and it MOST LIKELY won’t work.

In University, and even secondary school, you don’t see your teacher daily, but you did get SCHOOLED

Which is why with ChaYAH Wholeness, there will be NO BABY SITTING!!!



We are all about TOOLS, SYSTEMS and AUTOMATIONS that not just help you win, but also create a LIFESTYLE YOU LOVE and can SUSTAIN long after we are done with you.

3. Attaching your results to a season

For example, your 40th birthday is coming soon, so you want to lose 10kg before then. Truth is, some people WIN at this, because those events are such a HUGE motivation, but 4 weeks after, they gain all the weight back, AND MORE because while an event is a great motivation, it is NOT ENOUGH TO SUSTAIN.

The BEST programs for healthy living are time and pressure free.

Since it is FOR LIFE, we must resist the temptation to make it about a life event.

Enjoy the journey no matter how long it takes, as you BUILD this lifestyle you will LOVE ( More pressure usually means LESS LOVE. Facts only) with results you can sustain.

Which is why ChaYAH Wholeness will run for a whole year for some of our Citizens because we are all about futuristic pressure-free coaching

Being in a hurry is sooooooooo 70’s !!!




4. Not having A VISION

Oh this is SO KEY because without VISION, a people really do cast off restraint, meaning they lose the drive to keep going.

A VISION keeps the party going even when you don’t feel like it.

This has been a MAJOR game changer in my life; KNOWING MY WHY.

So when I am feeling unmotivated, I DISCIPLINE myself to do what I need to do, guided by my VISION!!!


Your vision doesn’t have to be anything grand. It could even be the picture of a person you admire.

My vision is tied to my HEROES, Joyce Meyer, Christine Caine, and Lisa Bevere.

All 3 in their 50’s, 60’s and 70’s YET still so strong and healthy, taking territories for JESUS.






Having their pictures always before me really helps me to stay on track as I be old and still be very fruitful.

You may have a written vision, or even a picture of some event you will like to not have repeated in your life, maybe someone close who died or suffered as a result of poor diet choices.

Whatever you choose, make sure it is compelling enough to compel you to DO and BE!!!

At ChaYAH Wholeness, we will be working with you to draft your own CUSTOMISED vision. We won’t even move without it.


5. Not reinforcing yourself with prayers, affirmations and knowledge.

In this blog, I share on ways Jesus Girls can DEEPEN their convictions


One way is by prayers and another is by going for knowledge. It is incredible how much we can get reinforcement from these two activities

Many of us think weight loss is by will power. Very funny joke!!!

You MUST pray and ask God to help you because you can do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ON YOUR OWN (John 5:30)


Then in addition to prayers and confessions, you also need to study and gain knowledge on this journey

Two things ChaYAH Wholeness will be leveraging a lot.

Oh, like we said, we will be COACHING not BABY SITTING, so we will equip you with content you can keep consuming to deepen those convictions and reaffirm your goals and vision.
