Question:

What is your WHY? By WHY I mean what’s propelling you to preserve on this weight loss journey.

Answer:
I am on this weight loss journey because I want to be healthy, I want to be able to play with my kids, and I want to look good in clothes and pictures.

Question:

Do you face Challenges on your Weight Loss Journey? If yes, what are they?

Answer:
Yes, there are challenges in every effort to be better and weightloss is not an exception. I have a sweet tooth, so I had to overcome that challenge. I also get bored easily, especially with my workout routine. The most annoying challenge is with my monthly cycle. I always retain water and bloat crazily the week before my period, it’s a challenge because no weight loss happens that period, no matter what I do.

Question:

In what specific way has been in the Group Coaching program impacted on your lose of over 10kg in less than 3 months. By this I mean what is the benefit of having a community on your weight loss journey?

Answer:
Being in the group has really helped me in this journey. I have tried other coach and I have been in groups, but this is different. First the community of like minded ladies working hard to be healthy, then the commitment each person brings, the consistency, the challenge, even the humour just makes the whole journey easier. We hold each other, we support and encourage one another, we look out for our sisters, we wish for them to lose weight too. As much as its a personal journey, it’s also a corporate one, because I am happy when I see the others succeeding in their journey.

Question:

What tips ( on food, workout, lifestyle e.t.c) would you give someone who’s on a long term weight loss journey? Please limit your response to at most 3 tips.

Answer:

Firstly I’ll say, don’t rush. The journey is not a sprint, it’s a marathon. Be realistic and give yourself time. I gave myself a year to lose the weight I want to lose because I understand its not magic. Secondly, understand your body, know what works for your body. For example I skip a lot because I have discovered over time that skipping burns more calories for me and I find it faster and effective to do because I don’t have the luxury of time. I have also come to understand that whatever I eat after 6pm will sit in my tummy till the next morning.

Question:

What makes our Coaching unique and how has that turbocharged your journey?

Answer:

To be honest, it’s the God factor. This I can’t say enough. I have asked myself too, why didn’t my other program work. It’s simply because we were working using only our own strength and motivation, but the strength of man will always fail at some point and then we go back to the start again. But with God on this journey, we begin to see that it is possible and as we see the possibility, we become what we see.

Question:

With this result, is there anything you still think you could have done better on this journey?

Answer:

My result so far has been good, but I feel if I had pushed myself a little more in terms of my workout, I would had gotten here way earlier.

Question:

How do you handle temptations with respect to indulging yourself with food?

Answer:

I have 2 types of temptation. The first is the one that I can say no to however difficult it may be. For example, I can say to golden morn, I can say no to rice and chicken, I can say no to indomie. The more I say no to them, the easier it is to say no again. The second temptation is the one I have not been able to win so far, and that is Milo. So what I do is that I don’t buy it at all. I don’t keep it around me. As long as I don’t see it, I’m good.

Question:

What is your WORK OUT routine?

Answer:

I skip, with or without rope. I started with 1000, then grew. Now I try to do 5000 skips 4 times a week.

Question:

Any last words you’ll love to say?

Answer:

Your body will occasionally want to give you an excuse to abscond, sometimes with really legitimate reasons. Never lose sight of your goal, give it your all.
