When Ayanfe joined the Coaching Circle, she weighed 80kg and wasn’t quite sure what to expect. Four months later, she’s proudly standing at 65kg, not just lighter in body but stronger in faith, discipline, and confidence. Her story is one of growth, saying “no” when it mattered, and learning that true transformation goes far beyond the scale.
Question
Since you joined the Coaching Circle, how much weight have you lost, and what does that number mean to you beyond the scale?
Answer
I have lost more than 15kg. I am still surprised I did this under 4 months without having to spend much on going to the gym.
Question
When you think back to when you first joined the program, what were your expectations? And now, looking at where you are, how do you feel compared to then?
Answer
At first, I just didn’t know but wanted to see how it goes. Though I wanted to do this without spending on the gym, I was glad I was able to choose other options, and with time I got to know the one suitable for me.
It means a lot to have been able to lose 15kg under 4 months. I never saw it coming. It meant a lot with the knowledge I have got so far.
I came in without any knowledge, and now I don’t just have knowledge — I’ve learnt to trust God and trust the process.
So it means a lot for me beyond the scale.

Question
How did your transformation physically, emotionally, and mentally make you feel?
Answer
Strange. Physically, I feel me; people also saw the change and reacted to it. It’s just all new, but I love it.
Emotionally, ohh, I think the 3rd or 4th coaching session I began to pay attention to the scale, and it was up, down, fixed, and so on.
So sometimes I feel down, feel happy, and you know up and down, especially if I put in effort and was definitely expecting results. So it was a lot, but now I have learnt to celebrate myself in these moments.
I have also had moments of joy of “I did this.” I went from buying XL to buying size M.
Mentally, ohh, I had to think about getting new clothes when my clothes became big.
So much money to spend!
Having to do the shopping weekly, food prepping, and all.
Question
What daily habits or mindset shifts made the biggest difference for you in staying consistent throughout the journey?
Answer
Saying no.
I say to myself sometimes that if I don’t eat that particular food, nothing will happen I will be very okay.
I don’t necessarily need to eat everything. Saying no helped me a lot.
Question
Can you tell us about one of your biggest “ha moments,” something that made you really proud or boosted your confidence?
Answer
Putting on a jean after 3–4 weeks, I guess, and I could button it perfectly without struggling with it. I sat down freely. Then I knew something had happened. I kept saying it to my sisters. I was proud of myself.
Question
What was one of the hardest moments you faced during the program, and how did you manage to push through it?
Answer
Food prepping. I do shopping and prepare before time.
Every time I didn’t prepare, I ended up eating everything.

Question
Was there anyone inside or outside the community who inspired you along the way? What did they do or say that really motivated you to keep going?
Answer
No. I am my own motivation.
Question
What’s one thing that surprised you about yourself during this journey, something you discovered that you didn’t know before?
Answer
I can actually eat the food I love; I only have to prepare it the right way.
I could exercise, which has never been my thing.
I stood on trying other healthier foods rather than what I was used to.
I learnt a lot ehn.
Question
If a friend or loved one was unsure about joining this coaching experience, what would you tell them about your own journey to help them see the value?
Answer
I understand.
But sometimes all it takes is taking the step.
I was unsure at the beginning, but I took the step.
I had no knowledge at the beginning; also, I was always asking questions, but I had to learn, and having a coach that is patient also helped.
I had my fears,
but I got in and was introduced to not losing weight the regular way but involving God in it.
I can say my journey was not regular but a joyful journey.
Just start and thank me later.
Ayanfe’s journey reminds us that wellness isn’t just about losing weight, it’s about finding balance, confidence, and joy in the small choices we make every day.
With love and wellness
